Justine Hardy

Justine Hardy is a writer and journalist. She has lived and worked for many years in South Asia and is an expert and long-term resident of Kashmir and the Indian Himalaya. Her books include The Ochre Border (1995) on the Indo-Tibetan frontier, Bollywood Boy (2002) about the Hindi film industry, and The Wonder House (2005), a novel set in Kashmir. She writes regularly for several British and Indian newspapers, and has made and presented many documentary films. She also directs an educational NGO working in the slums of Delhi, and works closely with the Kashmir Welfare Trust, an organization devoted to mitigating the damage of Kashmir’s fifty years of conflict.
