Nicolas Kent

For 25 years Nicolas Kent has been Artistic Director at the Tricycle, a theatre and arts venue in Kilburn, North West London, where he has built its reputation as a centre for progressive theatre, engaged with social, political and cultural issues. Over the course of his long career he has directed countless plays, including most famously Playboy of the West Indies (1984), Srebrenica (1998) and Guantánamo (2004). He has always ensured that the Tricycle’s programme reflects Kilburn’s large black and Irish communities, and has worked tireless to promote cultural diversity in theatre and the arts.
