Starring Choi Min-sik of Oldboy fame, in this sensitive film a depressed Korean businessman, Kim, makes a spur-of-the-moment decision to travel to Nepal, to carry the ashes of Sham, an illegal immigrant killed in a road accident, back to his home village in the Annapurna.

The journey turns out to be harder than Kim had expected, and he falls ill on the road to the remote village. He finally finds Sham’s mother and sisters and delivers the ashes to them. By this time he is very ill and stays in their house to regain his health. As the days pass, affection blossoms between Kim and the dead Sham’s sister.
